I do realize that maintenance needs to be done on the game from time to time. Traditionally, this is done on a Tuesday for whatever reason. However, the latest round is now going to be done on a Thursday. On Thanksgiving. On a holiday. That near EVERYONE has off. Some of us might even want to play on that day off due to lack of holiday observance.
What possessed you to look at the calendar and go, “oh look. Everyone will be off today and maybe want to play. What a grand day to do maintenance”? Get a clue. This pretty much says that you hate your player base and wish them unable to play on their days off. /endrant
