That’s understandable. Unfortunately, Bliz’s communication can often be lacking. But a lack of communication doesn’t unequivocally equate to a lack of caring/working/etc.
To clarify, there is. This very thread has statements from Bliz about both 1) it’s being investigated, and 2) why it’s going to take a while.
To clarify, Activision has no hand what so ever in Diablo 2. Blizzard publishes and admins their own games. Activision is their own publishing company with their own games to deal with.
I’m not sure what their plan is. But like computer viruses, for every bot app that’s dealt with, more will always spring up to replace them.

Thank you for the heads-up. I am probably speaking for the many when I share that I am hoping for a queue-less new ladder season.
They shouldn’t even bother resetting the ladder until the problem is permanently resolved. The only ones who would want the ladder reset at this point are bot runners. No legitimate player in their right mind would want to participate while this is going on.
What comes to mind are players who love pain.
I am picturing fastest times (individuals/teams) with queues as the handicap for hardcore ladder races to Baal. The queues add a new dimension to the ladder races. It’s kooky, yet queues may add a new gaming experience.
I am now imagining peeps asking not for people to be a part of the grind team, but to help them get games ready as they are speeding through their game.
If there is a new ladder season, it will be weird as well as interesting to see who hits baal and then 99 first.
@pezradar … Adam Fletcher your team… is out done by private servers on pvpgn who are more talented than any of the blizzard server team has in place… you have completely let the player base down on d2 from your lack of efforts to provide any content in over a decade… Do you understand whats like like to play a game you have to wait over an hour to get into a game? You have no duel games up… pvp is dead… everyone is losing faith in your inability to provide reliable communication… Truthfully you should sell your company to GGK and at least that way we will get something promising. Or better yet hire some of the hackers / mod makers to make the game fun again… endless cows,chaos runs and baal runs is the most pointless thing now… especially with these unheard of queues… You need to be more transparent to all of us… and last but not least… You cannot let Cats and Dogs run the show… 1 person does not dictate what your servers do… The exploits, Dupes, Rollbacks etc… that exist that you won’t do anything about. Sending invalid game creations for what reason? to ruin all users ability to play or duel or trade? Someone has a bot thats basically just spaming these packets to fill the server up… etc…
You really need to look at what you are doing… because its not much of anything.
The best suggestion at this point is to take a break from trying to play Diablo 2 on Battle.net. (The queues are kind of forcing us to anyway.) Regularly check the D2 forums for any updates on a fix to these problems.
They haven’t mentioned any details on fixing the problem, even something as simple as an ETA, so there’s no telling when the problems will be fixed.
Blizzconline is coming February 19-20, so hopefully we’ll get some news then.
@Leviathan - is there a plan to fix this problem? I read through this entire thread while waiting for a game to be created because I just started this game up after 15 years looking forward to reliving this great game. Now, I’m disheartened. Is there a plan to fix this problem?
It’s ok to be honest and say there is no plan. I will uninstall and move on to some other game / franchise.

I took a 15 year break from D2 and came back to it yesterday. Shall I take another break? I currently wait between 45 minutes and an hour to create a game. I cannot join any other games because there are none available to join.
