Launching Battle.net - Fails to show anything

Hi all,
As of about 2-3 weeks ago I’ve been unable to properly launch battle.net at all. When I do, I can get it open and it shows at the bottom right as running on my PC, but the app itself all it is a blue screen, then the battle.net logo appears for a moment before disappearing and staying on the blue screen. I can access some of my games by using the windows tray on bottom right, but I am unable to buy anything new or use the launcher to install things/update games manually. It worked fine in the past, and I have spoken with customer support and they have confirmed that my PC is capable of running it.
Thanks

Hey there,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out with those details! Display issues with the Battle.net Desktop App such as this are most commonly due to outdated video drivers of an outdated version of Windows. If you haven’t already, be sure to fully update your drivers and operating system.

If updating your drivers and operating system doesn’t do the trick, let’s go ahead and have you post a ‘DxDiag’ so we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the DXDiag. It’ll look like this:

If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).

I have had an Account for the last 16 and a half years"Woodchuck1511" I just want someone to show me how to do this. I am just New to posting here…Everything always seemed to work properly until I bought a new laptop and now it is a nightmare.

This is the old laptop, I can’t even use the new one on here because the game won’t launch.

I left a detailed post on the Support link earlier. But basically, I bought a new laptop. For the past month I have been trying to download the game (World of Warcraft) on the new system and install it and get it all up and running. I eventually want to delete the game here and use the new one, but neither will launch now. Please excuse my lack of technological expertise, but at nearly 77 this stuff is way harder than rebuilding a whole automobile to me.

I have pasted the required

Hey Woodchuck and ShadowStorm,

Here’s a few steps that may help clear up whatever is causing the Battle.net app to not show up properly:

Close Background Applications
and
Reinstall the Battle.net app

If those don’t help I’d recommend using the Contact Us button on this page to open a ticket and have a technical specialist look over your MSINFO and DXDIAG files. The steps to generate the MSINFO and DXDIAG files can be found here.
