I just purchased D2 and LoD. Played at home, then 2 days later tried to log in at work. Said disconnected from battlenet, try again later. So I tried later at home, same thing. Am I banned? If so, how long?
Darn. If you tried logging in on a network which may have a VPN or that the ISP is providing a business ip as opposed to a residential ip, then you may have been hit with a 14 day time out/ban. A mod or other may chime in to tell you the exact amount of time left. While you wait, just minus the amount of days which have passed since you logged in with an ip that was not your residential one nor an ip with a VPN that was enabled.
yeah, before playing d2 always remember to close-off your VPN’s.
While you could use most internet café IPs, schools, libraries and such would mostly be buisness/corporation IP which are prohibited by automated d2 protection.
Before connecting to d2, you can use google to know more about your IP(i dont know anything about this stuff, so thats the only way i found to make sure).
