Is human harder to play than orc?

It seems like human requires sick timing-based heal micro to win against Orc. Orc just puts bloodlust on and attacks though.

bloodlust is already nerfed. Archers beat axethrowers. I think both races are pretty equal, you just have to adapt a little. Don’t fully engage while lust is up and retreat to heal, so you can outlast them.

The value of these depends on the situation. Human is generally much easier to play on the campaign because heal helps you retain units better. You can also cycle units at the front by pulling back and healing Paladins as they take damage.

Orcs are more dependent on finishing off individual targets before they can retreat, deal much damage, or be healed. You will probably have more attrition even with micro, but you can potentially overrun the opponent with a large enough group of Bloodlust Ogres.

Human is nicer if you want to fight a war of attrition and conserve resources. This is due to being able to heal injured units back to full. It’s especially useful on gryphons, which are really expensive. The downside is that heal has a weak mana to health return, so in the short term, it doesn’t do much.

Orc revolves around bloodlust, allowing its army to beat the crap out of anyone while the buff is active. But it doesn’t last long. There’s also unholy armor and haste (on dragons). If using dragons, you should go for haste. It’s actually much better than bloodlust on this unit.
