I tried reinstalling battle.net after classic wow wouldn’t install, going in and deleting all blizzard folders in temp locations and everything. Now it just gets stuck “updating”, ping ponging between 65-80% even after I tried doing it running as admin. It has nothing to do with connection on my end as I can play an online game with a stream/video up if I wanted to while it installs. Any insight other than restarting (did it), flushing temp folders (did it), and picking another drive (did it) would be great!
Installing software is not something Blizz has control of — that’s between you and how you have Windows configured. However, there are some troubleshooting steps here:
Same here. I can install Stream or other, but it is very difficult to install Battle.net after uninstalling. Still not yet fix the errors for me and it is more than a week that I can’t play because of this error. I tried everything that guide by Blizzard forum. None of these didn’t work. A lot of ppl has same issue as us. Blizzard should check on Battle net app. (I even did downgrade my windows and didn’t work. This error occurs after uninstalling the Battle net app).
I hope this is a bot, cuz good lord telling me off for having an issue only your product is having ain’t it chief. Ain’t a me problem when everything else is working fine.
I’m not a bot and no one is telling you off, so there’s no need to be snarky. I am a fellow player advising you about what the problem could be. To test this out, I uninstalled and reinstalled the PC Battle.net app in about 5 minutes.
The Battle.net for PC is software and doesn’t control the permissions on your computer for whether you can install it. If you’re having problems, it’s likely one of the items listed in the troubleshooting article I linked. If you don’t perform all the steps, you may not solve the issue on your machine.
