The problem is that my status remains Away even when the Battle.net mobile app is completely closed or not installed. This is affecting my presence across Battle.net, and friends consistently see me as Away when I should be Offline. This is extremely irritating.
I’ve already exhausted essentially every troubleshooting step I could find online, including:
Restarting my phone and PC multiple times.
Force-closing the Battle.net mobile app.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the Battle.net mobile app.
Logging out and back into the app.
Clearing the app’s cache/data.
Logging into different Battle.net accounts to test whether the issue is account-specific.
Disconnecting my Battle.net account from Apple.
Removing and re-adding the mobile app.
Testing with the app completely uninstalled.
Trying every solution I could find in Blizzard forums and other online discussions (which are unfortunately quite limited).
And finally, contacting blizzard support, who referred me to here to create an official bug report. This is because Blizzard support was unable to rectify my issue.
I have since been troubleshooting, and have made zero progress, except for one instance where I logged out of the Battle.net browser app, and my account was no longer showing as ‘away on mobile’ anymore. This didn’t last long, as my account resynced and the status returned. I have not been able to replicate this since.
