Happens every time I try to enable the authenticator in the Battle.net app. No explanation, it just says [UNKNOWN] at the bottom of the screen and gives me no information about how to fix it, or even how to report the bug.

I’m having the same issue. I’m on iOS26, I removed my previous authenticator from my old phone, and now I can’t re-attach it on the new phone.
Have tried to clear app data, re-install, re-start, etc, nothing works..
I am having the same issue, even on a brand new phone that does not have the old app, and all recommended troubleshooting steps failed.
Same issue - removed previous authenticator and get this error trying to re-add it. Gone through all the cache clearing, app/phone restarts, default browser, etc. to no avail.
Exact same issue. I’ve even tried different phones, some on different versions of iOS. I’ve tried with the phone via my wifi and via mobile network and via several VPNs (in the event that it was some IP related thing with CDNs or something or DNS). Nothing works and the error is completely unhelpful. The only thing I have not yet tried is using an android phone.
Same issue here, same troubleshooting steps. I’ve also changed default browser, cleared browser data etc. No luck.
I’m also having this problem. Multiple game masters have been unable to give me a solution. I’ve tried reinstalling the battle.net iOS app, deleting app data, swapping networks, rebooting my phone, resetting network data etc. Nothing helps or shows any improvement.
I’m also having a similar issue. I just got a new phone. My authenticator worked just fine on my previous Android, but when trying to enable it on my new iPhone, I’m getting the “Hmm.. Something went wrong." I’ve tried all the steps that people have listed to try, but to no success. I ended up removing the authenticator from my account in the meantime so that I don’t get locked out, but I would like to figure out how to get this app working correctly so that I can re-enable it. Help would be greatly appreciated!
Same thing. When I click on attach authenticator => it’s saying something went wrong… nothing helped.
I also have the same issue. Had to remove my age-old authenticator key fob because it ran out of battery. So now have to run without an authenticator until this bug is fixed.
Is it blizzard bug issue or something wrong with our devices?
I changed my account email and was forced to remove my authenticator, so I did. I used the remove my authenticator option. I got logged in, got my new email and password working, everything is great. EXCEPT that I can’t re-attach it. I am on Samsung/Android or whatever the non-apple phone is these days that’s not a google one.
I get the something went wrong [UNKNOWN] error. My account says authenticator inactive. I can’t reactivate it. I want my bag space back.

Same here, I just get “Hmm… Something went wrong.”. Tried everything.
Same issue. Changed name, app then always had errors updating it so i wanted to un-attach it and re-attach it. Big mistake, now i get the “Something went wrong.” with [Unknown] error code.
Are they actually going to fix it?
Haven’t seen anything, but there’s many people with the same issue right now. So they probably have to.
I hope so. I literally tried to attach authenticator on few devices + my wife’s account. Still the same issue
