My friend Sleep#11288 was perma banned on OW and all blizzard games for “cheating on overwatch” when I know for a fact he was not cheating, he has played for years without issue. I feel like there’s nothing I can do to help him with this situation. Is there anyway for me to help him get unbanned or anyway he can get unbanned? Yes he has opened a ticket on this matter.

I know this guy too. And I also know for a fact that he’s way too dumb too know how to use hacks. He’s also way too smart to make a move as dumb as hacking and get banned after he has spent a shameful amount of money on this game. He’s also one of the only people who still plays and supports this dumpster fire of a franchise and desperately wants to get unbanned. I was suspended until tomorrow because I have played with him recently. So I can’t even play after I got off work.

Been friends with him on battle.net for two years and in that time frame of playing with him HAS NOT shown any form of cheating he just a guy with too many hours on overwatch. FREE!!! Sleep#11288 and let him rot away on that game.

Me too I’ve known Sleep for 6 years and we’ve had each other added on Blizzard net since August 11, 2020. He has NEVER EVER cheated on any of the games we’ve played and has not once made any jokes about cheating or insinuated anything of that sort. Especially considering he’s spent an INSANE amount of his money on Overwatch and on other Blizzard games… It doesn’t make sense for someone who has spent hundreds to thousands of dollars on Overwatch to just go and make a regrettable and irreversible choice of hacking and getting their account permanently banned? Especially when it’s literally his main game of choice and doesn’t play other games like he used to. Please help and unban sleep we love and support him the way he loves and supports Blizzard.

blizzard free my homie kahi he did nothing wrong he just wanted to play some overwatch and have a chill day kahi would never cheat i’ve know him for a while now and i can tell u he’ll never do something like that

I have known Sleep#11288 for quite sometime, at least 5 years, and I have never known them to be a cheater nor have I known them to do anything to be accused of such. It is rather unfortunate that there are actual cheaters out there and the system Blizzard has put in place seems to target people who are not cheating. With all these things, it is very discouraging and puts a bad taste in my mouth whenever it comes to my future with Overwatch and Blizzard as a whole.
Please figure this out and attempt to look into the gameplay so that Sleep can be unbanned.

Sleep#11288 Was falsely accused of cheating and got perma banned. This really needs to be revaluated because they have never ever ever used cheats. This is ridiculous that this was just decided without further proof that there was malicious apps used. Please reverse this, this is upsetting.

I’ve played with this person and he’s really good at the game so I do understand why you guys think he’s cheating, but he is also prone to doing the absolute dumbest plays I’ve ever seen that anyone would be embarrassed to do. He’s not hacking and also has wasted way too much money on this game to risk such a thing.

Thank you guys for the support. As said, I have already put in a support ticket. I understand that it is required for me to make an appeal through “Account Restrictions,” but it says I am unable to because this ban is permanent.
After I got the notification of my ban through email, I was told that it was irreversible and that I was banned for “hacks,” and that it was given after reviewing “evidence.” The game I got banned, I was playing sombra and the lobby, including my team, typed in hacks as a joke (or not I am unaware of their motives) because I “hacked” the POTG as sombra. I was under the influence so I do not remember my gameplay fully, but I do remember playing very well that game and I was a peak master’s player playing in a silver lobby. I understand that all these things may not matter because of the “careful review,” but there isn’t any that exists. I do not cheat on any game and will never cheat on a game.
I am especially distraught because not only me, but multiple friends were banned for “playing with a cheater.” About 8 of us were falsely punished for a mistake in the system.
I have no way of contacting anyone, and prove that it was completely a false ban. Please look at my support ticket, and let my friends and I know what we can do moving forward to help me get this false ban removed.

I just received a ticket response from a game master that said that they are unable to do anything unless I put in an appeal. When I go to appeal or contest it, it says “this ban cannot be appealed, review account restrictions, review code of conduct.” I have no other forms of communication with a gm, and as a long-term community member, it is very frustrating as I’ve seen that this has happened to other people before as well. Where they are unable to appeal their bans even though they were false. It took months-years for a game master to finally respond to their support ticket with help they need. Hopefully this support site feedback shows a good example of my situation so that in the future, there is easier access if this were to happen again to me, or someone else. There are no resources in the support site for me to look through for this kind of situation. I have no idea what I am able to do besides continue to post tickets or wait to receive some information from an MVP for what I am able to do.
I know him too and I find it insane that just because he was spam reported there was no further investigation done to insure he was cheating considering how long he has been playing without needing to cheat. I hope something is done about this and he gets his account back.
