False Silence for 7 days

I submitted a ticket but the estimated time for review is more than the penalty itself - more than 11 days for a response! All I did was advertise Stockades boost in trade chat in Season of Discovery. I more than likely got reported by the people who dislike boosters. Very frustrating esp in SoD/Classic when you can’t get into a party for dungeons and other activities. The automated reporting system is a real bummer when it’s so easily abused.

If you received a Silence, which is a first penalty, then that was applied by a GM. The automated stuff is squelches and warnings.

Next step for further infractions is Suspensions. “Abusive chat” is anything that violates the chat rules. Profanity, masked profanity, slurs, hateful speech, harassment, sexual innuendo/comments, spam, advertising, etc.

If you wish to get more insight, the WoW Customer Support forum serves as an Information desk to explain the support process, explain policies, explain services, etc. There are no GMs there to overturn your penalty, but you can often get a Blue to provide more insight into what caused your penalty. Probably. If you were advertising in anything but Trade, advertising too often for the server preferences, using a level 1 that can’t participate to do the advertising, etc. That would likely annoy folks and get you reported.

IF a GM did it, that’d be 10x worse. I only used trade chat, and there were 50 other people actually spamming 10 times faster. I wasn’t advertising in a ‘spammy’ way and I was on the mage I intended to do the runs on. I looked at the forums for the manner in which boosting was acceptable before all this happened as I wasn’t sure if boosting as a whole was bannable so i already knew how to stay withing the ToS. I stuck by it all. Also, I’d think they flag me for spam not abusive language if a GM did it. I’m thinking it was just random booster haters and hoping a GM notices this quicker than the joke of an appeal system they have.

You give false penalties all the time, my account is proof, got unbanned a week ago, and i expect a longer ban this time, time to show more proof, miss cheetah.

I don’t work for Blizzard and have not given anyone any penalties. I have no idea what you are talking about. If you have an issue with an account action, the only way to deal wlith that is an appeal.

Yes, further penalties do get longer each time and more severe. I don’t have any role in issuing them though. MVPs are other players… that is it.

Day4, and I’ve gotten 0 help from blizzard. At this point, my silence duration will be over before they even notice the mistake(if they ever notice). My ticket hasn’t even been looked at or replied to. Seriously awful/terrible/disappointing system for appeals.
-FYI , if you get punished wrong or right for anything, you are better off playing something else until its lifted or until you get fed up and quit all together. Not worth the headache of posting in forums/tickets/etc for help when you get nothing back in return. Seriously.

You have zero proof that an MVP silenced you because it can’t happen. Seriously, it can’t. MVPs are other players and have zero moderation powers.

I don’t know why you think otherwise. If you had a Silence, you would need to follow the appeals process.

yer im constantly being mass reported by reporting my name because players dont like what i stand for im literally being discriminated against by a lot of players and i get the ban its ridiculous something needs to change.

Same happened to me. If you say something they don’t like, or complain about the support system you get silenced. They’re looking for layup answers or not doing anything at all.
