Diablo II LOD Disconnect Battlenet

Attempted to login by connecting through game’s battlenet client and received message “You were disconnected from battlenet. Please reconnect.”

I’ve waited several hours, tried several troubleshooting approaches and am still unable to connect. I believe I may have triggered a temporary restriction when attempting to connect at work via wifi (potential business network).

I’ve been advised that there is a temporary restriction in place for two weeks.

Am I able to have someone else access my accounts to ensure that my characters do not expire? I believe there are a couple new characters with less than 10 days before they expire.

Is the restriction limited to my IP and CD Keys or are any accounts restricted as well?
