I’ve been using it for a long time, no trouble here. I’ve also written a setup guide to help get it up and running.
You don’t need that trash just play the game
Just makes the game smoother by running it in different video. Also makes it so you can enjoy full screen without strange stretch, etc. Its a fix to technology outdating the game. Nothing trash about it. Very much supported by nearly every diablo 2 community and has been patched and can’t be use with the mainstream public bots. The only down side is no one knows the best of the best options.
It was mentioned by a dev some time ago it is safe to use. I do not have the link though.
