I’ve never commented on a forum in my entire life. This fix saved me from a major inconvenience, Krossus you’re the man. Good work

You are the freakin man! Well done!

this didn’t work i love Cod and i having to reinstall is a pain in the butt you guys should fix this stuff

It really is unbelievable that this issue STILL persists to THIS DAY. I can’t believe people had to reinstall the game with it not even being 100% sure that it would solve the problem. I recently encountered this problem too and ran into multiple Dev 6634 errors, prompting me to scan for repairs, thus leading me to this forum as my game is broken. I just can’t wrap my mind around the fact that it literally says “Scan and Repair” but instead it fails to scan and breaks the entire game. I do not understand the thought process behind these devs and their constant PC updates when nothing really gets fixed.

Thank you for this it worked!! I appreciate your contribution.

This worked ! Finally ,went to explorer deleted all Data files with 1KB or less hit scan and repair -BOOM fixed ! Thanks All

This way is work
1st go to game folder then Data then data where u locate .idx files and data.xxx files(XXX is a 3 digit number from 001 to 147 I think)

2nd look for data.xxx files which one has the volume under 100 MB and delete them

3th delete .idx files

4th tap scan and repair it should be work correctly
But if doesn’t work try again with deleting data.xxx files which one has volume under 200
It’s should be work!!! Try this

Sorry for bad English

Finally it took around 30 hours to fix,
1st. I searched for solution in You Tube (Nothing worked)
2nd. Tried on many topics nothing worked so I kept on rescanning and updating finally I stopped the update uninstalled Blizzard completely and reinstalled,
Copied the game files to a External Drive (SSD,HDD or Flash drive,) Reinstalling thee whole game is a nota good idea. After copying the files i completely uninstalled the game from blizzard and the game files,(Copy the game files before uninstalling the blizzard after have a fresh setup for blizzard from https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/download.)

After reinstalling the blizzard make sure the game files not in any of the local disk’s. So Blizzard will say to Install the the game(Do not press the install). Exit blizzard or logout then copy the game files to any Local Disk.

Before installing the game Delete some files from the copied files on local disk
Files need to be deleted are

  1. every files in the game except Data which will be on located as 2nd folder
  2. Open Data again data delete the .idx files and files under 2Megabytes or 2,000 kb

After deleting the files Restart the PC open Blizzard, Simply press install and locate the the game files which copied on the local disk, There will be a update around 5-10 Gb Because of the files that are deleted,

This Solution worked to me well give it a try

Thank you !!! Tried everything and nothing was working kept getting BLZBNTAGT00000BB8 and this worked like a champ

thanks, it worked for me, after 2 days of that freaking loop

I agree. I just did his step by step and it worked like magic! I swear I was stuck on this dang loop for about 6 hours now and I tried everything else with it not working. I’m so so happy I don’t have to re-download 150+ Gigs of data. Trust me, follow DoomzDays advice, it was so helpful.

This also worked for me. Thank you! Now I don’t have to re-download everything!

Still happening. Tried everything short of redownloading the entire 260GB game.

… You gonna pay for my $100 surcharge from Comcast?

Thanks Bro! its work

Send this to the devs so they can make a fix for it properly!

Can you believe this is still a thing?
Data/Data and then delete all the 1KB data files and Walla works perfectly …
Cant they just code the “Scan & Repair” to auto delete the 1kb files from this folder?
Why do people have to sift though forums etc ?
They do know the game is 180+GB right? Reinstalling is not a realistic solution.
