Worked for me, it also fixed my Server Disconnected issue. 24/05/21
Then I decided to still try to delete the game, all the files that may remain after deletion, and reinstall it.
t then install as advised above
"Before installing the game, please remove some files from the copied files on your local drive.
Files to be deleted.
all files in the game, except for the data that will be in the second folder
Open data again data delete .idx files and files less than 2 megabytes or 2000 kb
After deleting the files, restart your computer, open Blizzard, simply hit Install and locate the game files you’ve copied to your local drive. There will be an update of about 5-10 GB. Due to deleted files "
After deleting the files and restarting the computer, before continuing with the installation, I was asked to enable time tracking software in the computer settings, I don’t know why, I didn’t try to figure it out and continued the installation, after a long wait the game was installed and there was no more error.
i cant play warzone haven’t been able to for over a month bc of this problem it is really annoying. i have done every fix like 2 or 3 times now and its really dumb how a big gaming company and cant fix this with in a months time
so this is going on for wow too i kept getting kicked off today with an erorr so i ran scan and it got to like the update thing and then was like opps i tryed reinstallking blizz ap nothing i uninstalled wow and when i went to reinstall if gave me that error and wanted to update…then ran the scan…baiscally what you guys had done…whats the fix?
I am so sick of this. It would be nice if Bilzzard and Activision start solving the problems on the root and wont tell everybody what to do at home, so they can lean back and pick boogers and dont have to work something. I dont know why it is so hard to just do the frickin work but maybe this is just my german mindset to do my job and do it correctly and if theres a problem i try to solve it completely. It is just so sad that we spend so much money on all of them and they dont even care about us (or make us feel like that is the case). Thinking about to quit playing Call of Duty and using Bilzzard because the only thing it is usefull for is giving a headache. Sad sad sad. Just soo unbelievable sad…
As a new COD player, I am Totally disgusted so far.
I installed 130 GB, then a 45 GB update, and then I get into the game, and lo and behold this scan and repair crap keeps going on.
I paid $35 for the Black Ops cold war and another $43 for 5000 CD so that once I got into the game I would be able to PLAY and get the Rambo and Mclane operators. Either Blizzard / Activision or whoever they are this week needs to get this fixed OR issue a full refund for my $78.
This is pathetic, does Blizzard not care about the customer or the quality of the games they sell now?
Sorry to say that at this point only fix I have found is REFUND and play another game, from another company
I am not rich but when I pay good money to play a game and it is trash, that ticks me off.
By trash I mean something that I pay for and CAN NOT play, this is ridiculous. I have better things to do than sit and wait for a game to install for the ___ th time because you dont know how to fix your own games?
Is it my PC NOPE dont even go there . EVERYTHING else works fine, unless it is a Blizzard or Activision game that is.

All work with precision and yet BLIZZARD / Activision does not know how to get their things to work? If this is the way BLIZZARD / Activision does business then all i can say is REFUND PLEASE.
No I have not had the game to long (( less than 24 hours ))
NO I have not played it to long (( Cant play at all, never even got to log into the game))
NO I have not used my CD points (( have to be in-game to do that))
So whats it going to be BLIZZARD / Activision does this even matter to you? Do we?

This just started to happen to me today (6/7/2021). Game has been scanned and repaired, uninstalled reinstalled, battle.net has been uninstalled and reinstalled, warzone uninstalled and reinstalled AGAIN, windows updated, graphics driver rolled back and then updated again, firewall turned off, compatibility mode turned on and off for wz. NOTHING HAS WORKED. Now its stuck in an infinite scan/repair loop. Both blizzard and activision point at each other or simply point you to “common solutions” which have not worked at all.
EDIT: I fully uninstalled my antivirus and the game launched, disabling it or allowing wz through the firewall was not enough. I was using Webroot antivirus. After uninstalling my antivirus i was able to launch the game with no issues. I then reinstalled the antivirus with no further issues. Though I have moved to a different antivirus now to hopefully prevent any future problems.
Everyone who has the problem… i did the following after 25 loops of scan and repair…
I deleted every file in my COD folder except the datafolder.
In the datafolder i deleted every file which was under like 30000kb.
So only the big ones remained and then i restarted my bnet app and after that the loop ended and it started to download like 400mb of files and i can play again.
Thanks mate, it worked from the first step of deleting files smaller than 100MB in the data folder then repairing again.
This worked for me, thanks Titanos. I’ll try anything to avoid reinstalling nearly 200gb, and this was far simpler than anything the support team had to offer.
Tried this fix and it didn’t work. But, after fiddling with deleting things and enabling/disabling things and wondering why the company isn’t actually fixing this I am going with the ultimate fix: uninstall the game and never buy another product from these dudes again. It took me awhile to come to my senses. Too bad, though, it was fun while it lasted…

This post is almost a year old, still, happens and the steps proposed by the support staff do NOT work, I refuse to reinstall my windows10 over a sloppy configuration within a launcher. I cant believe I am forced to play with a ps4 instead.

Here the best solution for the loop issue. Please Follow These steps ;
1/ Exit the Blizzard app
2/ GO to the installation folder and delete all files and folders by pressing SHIFT+DELETE and keep only the “Data” folder.
2/ Open the “Data” folder you will find another folder calls “data” open it.
3/ Arrange the files by size and delete any file smaller than 600 KB by pressing SHIFT+DELETE.
4/ Open the blizzard app again and let it scan again.
5/ After complete the scanning it will start a small update about 200 MB .
6/ Now your game is ready to launch.

I am having this very same issue ill be almost done at between 80% to 97% as the highest its happened from being done installing and ill walk away from my pc for just a second and come back and it be in middle of a scan and repair or a scan and repair error message and once i get that gone its already making me reinstall again after waiting 6 to 18 hours for it download and files still be on my external drive but still will not open and just pick up where it stopped and make me restart the whole install process. This all started when i decided to buy the full game from yall its been 2 days now and 4th time trying get warzone installed first then work towards the rest of the game packs, this is mess yall really need fix this I am not very happy with blizzard right now!!! And like a more detailed resolution from yall support department with how to fix this if yall don’t plan on fixing this problem within yall’s application!!!
having this same issue on WoW. Haven’t seen any attempt from blizz to fix it other than links to trouble shooting stuff that doesn’t work…
Honestly at this point I am surprised Battle Net is not being sued or someone isnt doing something about this seeing that Battle Net instead fixing this issue on there app they rather post some useless complicated reply on how to solve the problem. We as consumers shouldnt have to fix the problem, no Battle Net should this is y’all responsibility. I spend money to buy the full version of the game and this is what iI am given from y’all a glitched app and now i can’t play the game and been dealing with this now for 3 days. I will not buy another game through Battle Net bc of this!!!
