Clean up unused data after a game update

When updating a game the app downloads a new set of configs and indices and does not delete the obsolete ones.
At some point of time I’ve noticed that my WoW indices folder is over 2GiBs in size and complained to a buddy. He said that his folder does not use that much space and that was a surprise to me. So I went on and (re)moved config+indices folders completely. After a manual update I’ve got a ~100MiB indices folder and that felt sooo good. I’ve also performed the same procedure on D3 and SC+SC2 and was able to reclaim some free space, but those games are not that affected. WoW is updated much more frequently and its main space wasting index is 55MiB large as of today.
Would be nice if the app itself could clean up this mess.
Thanks.
