I have un-installed Citrix and put in exceptions on Sophos for MW but it still wont open.
Hi Community! I also have the same problem. When clicking the Play Button on the PC Battlenet Application, it goes greyed, says Launching/Playing now and then it goes back to “Play” with the game never launching.
I was perfectly playing on April 22 (South America) until the game asked me to exit and the Seasson 3 Up-date started.
Then inmediatelly continued with anmother up-date of about 3 MB (very small), which took to finish scaning files like 15 minutes (?), and from there, the game stopped working.
I have 1104 hours of playing and never experienced something like this. I also never installed that Synapse thing; I just did it now. If thatdid something, I will cameback and report.
Battlenet is closing all topics related to this issue providing links to Activision Customer Support that actually takes to nowhere.
Personal Question: is there some way to contact a Human Being / e-mail in Activision? Because they just throw you a fixed list of problems to select from, which leads to a non working solution.
Hope this get fixed soon. This is taking too long.

Ok. I fixed the game by completely removing my antivirus and firewall (It was COMODO for me). Unfortunately, after installing it again the problem reoccurred.

I have Bitdefender and windows defender. Could this be the issue?
Uninstalling Citrix Workspace 2010 from my PC and then restarted my PC work for me
This is probably happening because Citrix installs a video device on the PC I am going to run a test with the newest citrix workspace and see if it brakes the launching again
Ok i just reinstalled Citrix Workspace app 2103.1 for Windows and restarted and the game still launches so i would say if you have citrix installed update it or uninstall restart launch the game and then install the newes citrix workspace

If you have anti-malware software, add the game to the exceptions or uninstall the program.
I had Emsisoft Emergency Kit and now Warzone works.
Uninstall COMODO works for me…
But this is sad, now i need new AV
This was a fix for me as well. Uninstalled and Modern Warfare booted right up.
Nothing works for me. Uninstalled Citrix, added the Warzone folder to the list of Windows Defender exclusions.

Yeah, deuces warzone. No way in hell I’m giving up Citrix, which is required for my job, to play your game.
