the issue could be caused by any process you have running (on the background). If taskmanager shows it as a running process it could be the cause
Reading through all the comments, Sophos AV seems to be the main culprit!!! I also have Sophos installed on my rig. Only way I got the game to run in the end was by uninstalling Sophos, unfortunately the local execption didn’t work.
Even if you don’t want to be online without AV, from a “trial and error” perspective see if the game will launch once you’ve uninstalled it.
this is the 4 day with this issue…
I am having the issue since the latest big update.
added modernwarfare to firewall exceptions
don’t have citrix or Sophos on my system
delete and re-installed [Battle.net](http://Battle.net) and MW Warzone
viewed event log and I am getting ntdll.dll error from ModernWarfare.exe
disabled windows firewall - still did not load
tried scan and repair on Battle.net
None of the above has allowed MW or Warzone to load.
Same here, I feel your pain
Yeah, having same issues/
Yeah bro. totaly same. Tried everything. nothing worked. running RTX 3080 and AMD R9 5900X
Having same issue but BO4 will launch. This issue is ridiculous.
Im having the same issue (progress). I was able to launch the game by going to geforce experience, downloading the driver and also clicking the game and clicking “optimize” and launch the game from geforce experience. it launches then says “unable to access online services” though. but its a step forward. try this without having to fiddle with anything. its a connection issue y’alls
it works now. relaunch and restart.
So u have to use the Geforce to launch the game? or you did the scan and repair to get it working.
I have the same exact issue, using a work computer and don’t have access to AV. They need to patch this damn error.
Thanks mate! I made my nickname in year 2007, then everything is quantum, quantium, etc. I just ran the Event Manager and game me the error. I think the problem is that ntdll.dll, since it’s a core file of Windows which is shared with other programs, and which common problem is having conflicts among programs. I thought this was solved time ago in Windows, but it’s the same *.dll problem since Windows 98; at that time the DLL was usually overwritten, so Microsoft created a DLL which cannot be overwritten, yet, used by infinite aplications. I guess that NT (Windows NT Patch) is the problem. If I’m right, then Windows will have to make a compatibility update. I’m from Argentina, btw. This problem is affecting in all around the world.

it only launched on geforce for me.
I ended up uninstalling comodo and it finally launched for me…
I’ve tried updating, scan/repair, disabling AV (comodo), turning off my firewall, complete COD MW uninstall/reinstall, re-installed latest nvidia drivers, deleting *.idx files inside and outside of COD MW/data folder. I take regular system snapshots so I rolled back my OS to an earlier time when COD MW was unaffected- still wouldn’t launch so I suspected it was a MW bug. Sure enough in the Win10 Application Event list (admin tools), I found that MW.exe was crashing with a 0x00000000c (null pointer).
So, I downloaded BO Warzone and that launched okay but no MW. I will try the comodo fix and will post how it goes.
I hade the same, try uninstalling one program after another, i did and finaly it worked (don’t know which one helped though).
For me it was my last resort before a clean install of Windows, so started removing all unecassary programs and voila, it started working.
Give it a try!
Same error here. Tried everything but nothing worked for me. I’ve seen Raven Software asked on Twitter about this issue. So probably they’re investigating it
I have had this issue since the CW S3 update. Many of the suggestions didn’t work but what did work was the suggestion to put the MW folder into an acception box within COMODO Firewall even though i have everything disabled/not installed aside from the Firewall side of it. It allowed the game to start straight away first go since 4 days!
So that one fixed it for me.
I uninstalled an app called Citrix workspace off of my computer and ever since that the game loads and plays perfectly
I tried to uncheck all the start services on msconfig and it works. Give it a try!
Winkey+R----> msconfig----> services
