Brazil account showing EU routing and Authenticator prefix

Hello,

I am reporting a possible Battle.net account routing or regional inconsistency involving both the Authenticator regional prefix and some account-related browser flows.

My Battle.net account was created in 2011. Since it was created, the country associated with the account has always been Brazil. I have always used the account from Brazil, under my own registered name, and my purchases have always been in Brazilian Real.

The issue is that EU or Europe references appear in more than one account-related area:
-The Authenticator associated with my account shows an EU prefix.
-Transaction History opens with Europe selected by default.
-From the Battle.net website Account Settings area, some Redeem Code and checkout paths send me to the European flow.
-This happens across different browsers, devices, and connections.
-My IP geolocation shows Brazil, and I am not using a VPN or proxy.
-The Battle.net Desktop App works normally.

The concern is that multiple independent account-related areas show EU or Europe behavior, which makes it look like there may be some residual or unintended European routing in the account-related web flows.

Customer Support has already clarified that the account is otherwise considered to be in the North American (US) region. They also indicated that the Authenticator regional prefix does not matter, and that, as far as they understand it, these redirects should not affect purchases, code redemption, billing, currency, account status, or the actual account region.

However, Customer Support also said they could not tell why the redirects are happening and suggested submitting a bug report in the relevant area so the appropriate team can look into it.

Could the Battle.net website or account team check whether these EU references and redirects are expected behavior, or if something on the website or routing side should be corrected?

Thank you.

Such an odd website shop bug! Hopefully they can sort it out and fix up the website. Just note that they don’t tend to reply here.
