Blizzard games are the most expensive in their own store

Dear Blizzard Community Team and Blue Posts,

I’m a long-time PC-only Battle.net player with years of purchases on your official Battle.net Shop, I deeply enjoy your games, yet a persistent pricing issue has left me confused and hesitant to continue spending full price on the PC store, and I am writing to seek a clear, official response from Blizzard.
The core background is straightforward: all game servers and premium currencies are fully cross-platform synced once an Xbox account is linked to Battle.net. However, there exists an enormous price gap caused purely by different purchasing channels. Every shared in-game currency can be purchased at heavily discounted rates via Xbox accounts registered to low-price regions, and these currencies automatically appear on the connected Battle.net PC account. This loophole has remained unaddressed by Blizzard for multiple years.

As a dedicated PC gamer, I have always abided by my personal principle: if I play solely on PC, I should buy all in-game currency directly through the official Battle.net PC store at listed full price. I never wanted to take advantage of cross-region Xbox purchases to cut costs. But this unregulated price gap creates an obvious unfair divide between players:

  • Players who link low-region Xbox accounts save massive amounts on every top-up;
  • Honest PC-only players who stick to the native Battle.net shop constantly overpay for identical virtual currency.

    Widespread knowledge of this workaround makes loyal PC customers feel our full-price support is undervalued. However, I have refused to adopt this method myself for one critical reason: I am terrified of potential account suspensions or permanent bans. No official Blizzard statement has clarified whether this behavior complies with the Battle.net Terms of Service and EULA.

    Therefore, I am putting forward three direct, sincere requests for an official written reply:
  1. Is purchasing cross-game premium currencies by linking a low-price-region Xbox account to my Battle.net account fully compliant with Blizzard’s user agreements?
  2. Will Blizzard issue any penalties, such as currency removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban, to Battle.net accounts that obtain in-game currency through this Xbox cross-region purchase method in the future?
  3. If Blizzard confirms this cross-region Xbox purchasing method is fully allowed and will never incur penalties, what incentive remains for PC players to buy currency at full price via the official Battle.net PC Shop? Will Blizzard adjust PC store pricing or block this cross-platform price workaround to balance the shopping experience for all players?

    I do not intend to stir complaints or demand refunds. I only hope Blizzard can release an explicit, definitive official statement to resolve this widespread confusion among PC players. With a clear rule in place, every player can make informed spending decisions without worrying about hidden account risks.

    Thank you for your time and clarification.
