Battlenet won't connect

Like many others I am unable to connect to Bnet unless using a VPN. ISP is saying it’s on Blizzards end.

Then it is a routing issue, which is handled by the ISP.

ISP is dismissing you, but it is truly their problem to solve.

So are you blaming everyone’s ISP? I doubt we all have the same one and we all have the same issue definitely seems like a Blizzard issur

2 accounts in the same house on the same ISP, wife is playing behind me while I have been stuck trying to connect to BNET for hours. Clearing Cashes and following must easy fixes resulted in me being on for about 20 minutes before it D/C’d and I am back to “Connecting”

Not an ISP issue

I’m a fellow player. Hundreds/thousands of ISPs share routing peers. One misconfigured node or downtime on a node can cause all of them to be affected.

This doesn’t sound related to the OP’s issue.

Topic is Battlenet wont connect.

My problem - Battlenet won’t connect.

Your response - Your ISPS are dismissive but its on your end (dismissive AF)

My response - present examples of what I am dealing with countering your well thought out retorts that its on the OP’s end.

Your response - This doesn’t sound related.
Feel free to not respond, just found it funny that you are the one that is dismissive and extremely unhelpful.

I’m not having any of those issues, what ISP do you use?

Same here - My Internet is working. I played SCII yesterday.

So now its not the Internet Service Provider.

Why should they blocking just Battle.Net?

US is working, EU not.

They’re probably not blocking anything at all. Lots of players, including the OP of this thread, have resolved the situation with a VPN, so that is the surefire way to determine it’s a routing issue. Ultimately, your ISP is the point of contact when you can’t connect to a specific service, especially if you can connect to everything else just fine.

VPN is not free right? I can stay on US Servers but my COOP Points are 340 in EU

Missed your response earlier.

I don’t use flowery RP language because it’s not my style and I’m a volunteer who likes to troubleshoot things, not a member of the staff. When the problem is clear, I find no need to waste anyone’s time running through other steps. There was no intent to be dismissive, just concise so they knew where to raise the issue.

Some VPNs are free where I live, but I can’t speak for your situation.

The OP here is likely in North America, so that’s what we’ve been discussing. I’m not aware of an issue happening in the EU right now (I don’t live there or read their networking news very often), but you could probably check your region’s forum to see if anyone else is affected.

Edit: Depending on the game you’re playing, some of the titles have separate EU forums.

oh got it…i just was wondering that this thread opens in this actual EU Server Situation.
