just bought diablo2 and lod to relive my childhood and upon installing and patching i get timed out connecting to battle.net.

are you using a wifi connection, if so you will need to plug into your router using an ethernet wired connection to get on battlenet. could updtae but not play on wifi. worked for me
Hey, LEFT4MUSH. It looks like a temporary restriction was applied. One of the most common causes is due to using a VPN or business connection which seems to have been the situation here. The game being quite old, these restrictions are not ones that can be lifted. It should clear on the 9th of September and an alternative connection may work around it. i do not use a vpn. have had the same isp plugged in the same way as 20 years ago. i am not tech savy my pc is 15 years old
