Hello All,
I wonder if anyone else has had this issue or is having this issue. Sometime at the start of the year the Battle.net app had an update, and since that update. I haven’t been able to open Battle.net, without having to sit and watch all the games I own updated or initialize. (OW,WoWs,CODs) for around 5-10 minutes. Once in awhile the launcher will put a spin on things. Making me “update and restart Battlenet” you know, like back to back. It does it EVERY SINGLE TIME Battle.net is opened. I have deleted every single game more than once. Deleted Battle.net more times then I can count. I’ve deleted files from, %programdata%,%appdata%,%localappdata%, temp. All of the above for each game, and the three different blizzard files mentioned in many forums (battle.net, blizzard, blizzard entertainment). With TWW around the corner, I want my launcher fixed. So after I sent it again tonight, uninstalled the launcher. Now I’m sitting and rewatching wow reinstall 102gbs when the games already installed. (Only game I have installed now because of this dumb issue) After 6 months I’m turning to the forums with a cry for help. Anyone know the fix?
When you try to install or update a game check task manager, does blizzard update agent close and re open a bunch? Im having a similar issue.
Oh thank goodness I’m not the only one having this problem. Iirc it was also a problem in BfA too.
I was so confident uninstalling everything, deleting every single file. Then a complete reinstall would work. After doing so, the “update” “initialize” times seem much faster. Like a reset. That’s where I’m at with it
Edit because for some reason I can’t comment twice back to back even though it’s been over 24hours. Didn’t forget about you @Davestrider. I just checked my task manager while it updated (even though I only opened bnet). My updater wasn’t opening and closing in task manager. I did notice though. With Bnet open, I have 7 instances of bnet running in bnet’s drop down. Anyone else’s doing that?
Yeah I’ve uninstalled and re-installed on both my C Drive and SSD multiple times and it has done nothing.
