Battle.net app not opening

Click on the Battle.net app icon on windows, nothing happens but I can see it running in the background on task manager. Try to open a game without using the Battle.net app, it says downloading new files then gives me BLZBNTBTS0000005C error. Do the steps on there and try to reinstall/repair my battle.net and I get the same BLZBNTBTS0000005C error.

I’m getting that one too. Waiting to hear back from Blizz.

Hi I´ve been having the same issue, also tried uninstalling battle net but the program is never really deleted. I cannot use anygame and battle net crashes , when I can open it it only says battelnet client is sleeping or something like that. I haven´t done any changes on my PC lately, this just happened after a little while I did not play.

I was playing last night. I got on this afternoon to play and I was having this problem and battlenet has offered no help. They told me to come here instead. I followed all the steps online and even checked Reddit but none of the solutions worked for me. I don’t know what else to do

I’m having this same issue: Here are the troubleshooting advice I got from support ticket (That did not help!)

Check your network configuration to ensure there are no issues with your firewall, router, or port settings, (https:// us .support.blizzard.com/en/article/7842)

If you’re using a VPN, try temporarily removing or disabling it,

Make sure to disable any proxy settings that could interfere with the login module, (https:// us .support.blizzard.com/en/article/23664)

Run a full security scan to check for and remove any viruses or malware infections that could be impacting your network access, (https:// us .support.blizzard.com/en/article/27610)

Add Blizzard applications to the exception list in your security software to ensure they’re not being blocked, (https:// us .support.blizzard.com/en/article/000023672)

Try creating a new Windows administrator account, this can resolve permissions issues that might prevent the app from running correctly, (https:// us .support.blizzard.com /en/article/34550)

Your Windows Hosts file may contain outdated or incorrect entries, please review and reset any that might be interfering, (https:// us .support.blizzard.com/en/article/31364)

Outdated firmware on your modem or router can also cause connection issues, I recommend visiting the manufacturer’s website for instructions on how to apply firmware updates,

As a final step, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Battle.net App, This can resolve rare issues related to corrupted launcher files
