Battle.net App Disconnect/reconnect Continuously

This has been going on for at least a week now. I have tried all the suggestions in all the threads I can find. I rebooted my router, my modem. Cleared all my DNS Caches. Deleted Blizzard entertainment and Battle.net folder(s). Uninstalled B . net and reinstalled it. Reset my internet (windows 10). Restarted PC. Shutdown PC and started it back up. And probably some others that I have lost track of.

It happens while in any blizzard game that is launched from the Battle.net launcher. While In WoW I can continue playing without interruption. But while I am playing I am seeing everyone on my Friends list disconnect and reconnect. Game play is completely unaffected.

In games such as Diablo 3 I get booted offline with Error 1016. BUT I can still see everyone else in my game running around completely unaffected, Thus there is no actual interruption to my internet connection.

In hearthstone I have to restart hearthstone after every single match.

I am at my Witts end. And the new D3 Season starts in an hour. I need this resolved ASAP.

Same with me… Battle net Desktop app keeps losing connection intermittently … Not my internet connection… All other gaming apps work fine… they need to fix ASAP.

As of this Post, I can’t even Connect to Battle . net in the Desktop App.

I am still able to post here or stream a movie, browse the web. Again, it is JUST the App having issues. Not the game’s themselves. (but due to the App having issues, some games are unplayable as a result)

its a known issue, they are working on it…
its there for 5 weeks now, probably will still take years

Problem for me at least is that the problem only started in the last week. I was playing on the D3 PTR without any issues. And Last week and Prior I was In Classic WoW and didn’t have the issue. So, It’s not affecting everyone at the same time frame.

I am having the exact issue as the OP. Even when he says

" In games such as Diablo 3 I get booted offline with Error 1016. BUT I can still see everyone else in my game running around completely unaffected, Thus there is no actual interruption to my internet connection. "

I am now doing a fresh re install of Diablo 3. I have done most of what the OP has done too. Is it the app crashing? or what?

It is getting really annoying as I can’t play Diablo 3 at all as the error codes pops up every 10 mins or so. Sometimes less.

It has been like this for two weeks now.

Hope there is a fix soon! It is super frustrating.

But I don’t want this to effect my Shadowlands launch!! I booked time off for it.

Based on what I have experienced… the only time there is an issue is if the B . Net app Disconnects while you are trying to launch WoW…

The few times the past week i’ve played WoW. I stayed online in game without any interruptions. If the App DC’d while I was still launching/loading in, then it kicked me out. Once in I was fine. Same thing on my daughters PC.

As a further update. I tried out of desperation to use my phone as a mobile hot spot and played D3 with my internet routed through my cell provider. The frequency of the App disconnecting went way way down. I think I lost connection maybe 3 or 4 times all day today. (total of about 10 hours played). That said, every time it DC’d… it was just the App, and it immediately reconnected.

I also have this issue when I play Warzone. For me mobile hotspot works fine but my fibre wired connection continuously disconnects. On my wired connection I cannot enter a game before I get disconnected using EU or Americas servers. When I try Asia servers it is more stable but the ping and packet loss in unbearable.

P.s. they will probably close this thread and tell you this topic is already being investigated on other thread which has been active for a while but nothing has been done to solve anything yet.

I tried to get help for the same issue. All I got was a bunch of threats. Read my post history and the “customer support” responses that my posts received.

Hey all,

There is a thread where Bliz is collecting information and leaving update as they get them. Please try to keep it to the main thread as it’s far more helpful and easier to track. The main thread can be found here.

Sorry, but in relation to the connectivity issues, the only thing you have been told is to keep it to the main thread (which you’re again not doing). No threats there.

Outside of that, you’ve been informed that 1) what you thought was a bot is not. No threats there. And 2) that the Battletag you have chosen could get you into trouble, and what to do to avoid that trouble. No threats there either, in fact it’s the opposite of a threat.

I’m not trying to fight with you all. I’m just here for solutions. In fact, I’ll delete all my posts if you want me to.
