Yes you might be. I have been banned for using hotel wifi too. Reason? “We do not allow business IP or VPN on bnet.” -Blizzard.

Yes, it is a soft ban and the restrictions usually last about 2 weeks.

This reddit thread may give some insight. It is another person in your position who got a temp ban for business ISP and had un-permed mules.

They posted on July 28th, 2020 and the ban was until Aug 11, 2020.
That person did manage to resolve it by changing the home IP address to a fresh one and NOT logging in at work again.
